The Demon’s Souls remake does much of this too, but goes the extra mile to completely rebuild the scene. It’s curious to see the updates to the knight’s armour as well.

Could this mean Sony backing off on porting its titles to the PC market? Bryank75 responded that PC plans still exist, but “some of them suck ass.” Make of that what you will, but you shouldn’t expect Bluepoint’s remake anytime soon. This unorthodox weapon deals both Physical and Magic damage, giving it various damage types to exploit enemy weaknesses. This is also one of the few weapons capable of two S Ranks in damage scaling with both Strength and Dexterity. This crude blade also has the added benefit of restoring 1% of player health with every successful strike, making it a mechanical antithesis to other Demon’s Souls weapons that hurt the wielder.

On top of that, the number of players allowed in a world has been increased from four to six. This chance enhances the multiplayer and makes the game more interesting. At any one time, players could have as many as three invaders enter their world along with two friends. Anyone who played the original Demon’s Souls will remember the atrocious character creator.

However, combat is the name of the game and if you’ve played Dark Souls or any of its sequels, you know what you’re in for. Combat is grounded and brutal, where enemies can and will fight unfairly with glee. The sense of accomplishment from finally beating a challenging foe or discovering a hidden area is immense. The blocky, near-textureless foes from the original become nightmarish abominations straight out of The Thing.

FromSoftware as a company has moved on from Demon’s Souls in a major way, and it didn’t have anything to do with the remake from Bluepoint. Unfortunately, despite a Demon’s Souls 2 being theoretically possible, it’s very unlikely it ever gets made due to Sony owning the Demon’s Souls IP. The original Demon’s Souls was developed by FromSoftware, but it was published by Sony exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Sony Has Said It’s Exploring More Pc Ports

The Reaper Scythe is a pole weapon with a curved blade on one end that is so sharp that they say it can sever your soul from your body. It can mow down many targets in a single blow, but is difficult to handle and requires both Strength and Dexterity to use.
